Does Temperature Change Pond Fish Feeding?
Yes! Water temperature can greatly effect how much your fish will eat. As temperature drop in the later months, during Fall and Winter, pond fish will eat less and eventually stop eating until the water temperature warms up. When the temperatures get colder, fish enter a hibernation-like state and will live off of their body fat reserves until warmer months. Once water temperatures are above 50°F, start your feedings again.
- Warm Water (above 60): Feed 1 to 5 times daily, increasing with temperature
- Cool Water (50-60): Feed 1 to 2 times daily
- Cold Water (below 50): Feed every other day
- Do not feed below 40

Fish seemed to enjoy.
No mess no food left over to sink. I can see fish when they rise to surface to feed. They grew in size on this food.

Great product!
This is our pond fishes favorite. I’ve tried buying the floating sticks but they don’t like it as much as the small pellets are perfect for the small young fish.

Fish love it and apparently the snakes do too
We have a pretty big pond and the fish love this food . The big fish and the teeny fish . The water snakes started showing up for dinner now too and it gone from 1 snake to 7 over a month . Idk if one snake told the others that the fish food is better then eating the fish in the pond or if there is another reason why we suddenly have so many nope ropes eating fish food but I’m guessing the new fish food must be fantastic . I’d rather the snakes eat fish food then eat the fish so I guess it’s a good thing ? Idk I believe it’s southern water snakes that are dining with us and the fish in the pond . It’s a lil bit stinky fish food so I store it in a big container that is air tight and it’s great .

The goldfish seem to like it!
I have a garden pond with just cheap goldfish. They seem to like it. The only issue I have is that the resealable device split after the use. So, I have to be very careful and keep it on a shelf that I know it won’t spill.

my koi seem to eat anything i like the light fluffy texture of tetra but it is expensive.
Well, it’s koi food my fish seem to eat it, but pellets are kind of hard.I guess that is good for it not turning to dust in bag. we mix a few brands in old orange juice bottles simply orange bottles happen to fit the 1-gallon milk jug top into the bottle snugly so i take gallon jug and cut of bottom to make funnel to make it easier to dispense to fish.the bag food comes in is not super strong and tore in transit that would be combo of lighter boxes with little packing and rough delivery drivers. I wish bag had Ziploc top, but you can’t expect fancy package in food this cheap.

My koi and turtles like the food, and eat it up fast. My koi and gold fish look great. It stays together and keeps the water clean.

The Koi Love it
The media could not be loaded.
I was worried that the Koi wouldn’t appreciate the food, since the price is so much lower than what I’m was buying at my local feed store. But everyone comes in eats, and they are growing huge. I will continue to purchase. The video shows the round Kaytee pellets, and the oblong old fish food.

Lacking some nutrients pond goldfish need
Switched to this brand because of price value but noticed after a month the fish were nibbling each others tails. Switched back of original food and that ceased almost immediately. May be good in small aquariums but not in ponds with 25+ fish

Good Value
I have a small koi pond – about 6×8 and only 3 feet deep. It is a money pit in the yard. This packaging is sufficient for abouy one year of feeding. I keep it in a small galvanized can with locking lid to keep the critters out. Though I don’t personally taste for freshness the koi don’t complain. The koi seem to gobble it up. They are fed. I am happy.

Fish kind of like it

Hi! Up to this point I have been feeding them goldfish food. But the pellets were too small and they would go crazy trying to find and eat them. So I decided to try the Koi food since the goldfish have gotten so big and the pellets are a little larger. They’re always eager to eat and come to the top and gobble down whatever I give them. They weren’t so interested with the larger pellets. Maybe when they get a little bigger. I do like that the pellets float because any excess food they don’t eat I can scoop up and put it to my plants. The packaging is OK except their Ziploc feature doesn’t work. I opened the package using a pair of scissors, cutting along the dotted line. I opened up the bag and noticed immediately the zip lock feature was not attached to both sides. Make sure when you buy this product you have a large container that is airtight to put this product in.I give four-star’s only because of the packaging. I had to buy a small airtight container which added to the expense.

Kaytee Koi’s Choice Koi Floating Fish Food
This is my favorite brand of fish food for both my goldfish and my koi. The pellets are small enough for both and the koi just gulps them down like candy plus the water seems to stay cleaner longer with the use of this product .

Fishies love it!
My koi and goldfish eat this and have no complaints thus far. I like this fish food because it is small, spherical pellets as opposed to cylindrical shape.

Koi Fish Are Thriving
Since I began feeding this fish food to my koi fish, they have really increased in size. I’m shocked to see the amount of growth since switching to this. They come straight to the top of the pond when I go to feed them and seem to love the taste of it. It floats on top and I believe this keeps the pond cleaner than other foods I’ve tried that sink and dissolve quickly.

Fish seem to like it.
I have no idea why it is asking me to give a rating on freshness or flavor since there is no way I’m going to be eating it. I throw it onto the water, it floats, and the fish eat it.I did deduct one star since it says the bag is resealable but after going through multiple bags I can say the zip lock type thing is not done correctly. On two bags it was only attached to one side of the bag and in another bag it wasn’t attached at all. The thing was just sitting there on top of the food.

When ya fishes go da munchies
Can say one thing fishes have never made a spoken complaint about the chowder we throw at em, big fat one gorge on this stuff like crack coccoa, with the lil ums mossing n bobbing up for a chew or two, like i said big fatty goes rushin in there when it hears the sprinkle then with a wip of its tale n a slash hes sinking down with a mouthful of that delish pellets.. Just like mamma used to feed em too 😀

been feeding for 3 wks now. Fish are doing well, and growing
Fish always appear when I shake the jar, I keep the food in. They come right to me to be fed. A couple of more shy ones, swim to the side and wait for me to toss the food to them. I really like the floating feeds as they allow me to monitor how much fish will eat in a few mins. Good product for the price, I’ve had others not nearly as good. Fish are healthy and very active, will buy this product again.
