Good product, watch out for the lid being damaged

Real big tub, which is more cost effective than if I got a smaller container. The shrimp are not jumbo like other brands, I’d say they are on the standard size. Also, the lid came with a cut through the top, though the aluminum seal over the items was not ruptured. I just taped over the top on both sides since the container contents were not exposed.

Great product; almost impossible to open can. Half is powder.

My Cichlids LOVE this product but the 14oz can was impossible to open with a regular electric can opener. I ended up using an old hand operated opener and still had a difficult job getting the top off. Great price compared to the smaller cans I purchased in the past.UPDATE: Once I got into the can I have found that almost half the product is ground down to almost powder. I bought this to feed my large Cichlids and they do not want to eat powdered food. Turns out the value is not there if you only get half of what you pay for.

Smells fresh and fish loves it.

I have a 16″ crappie that I have been feeding for 7 years. It loves eating krill, but I made the mistake of getting the big can 14oz I used it for 2 years and was all crumbs at about half way down. I opened up a 3.5 oz can today and it smelled so good i thought about eating some. Anyway my fish loves the fresh can. It eats about 5 a day (minnows in morning krill at night) and I expect the can to last a long time.

    Great Snack Food

Jumbo krill are a great snack food to munch on while watching weekend sports on TV. The great thing is that you can enjoy them right out of the can and throw a few in the aquarium and have the fishies enjoy them too. Don’t know why they place such a nutritious snack food under the fish category. The krill isn’t too salty and when you get to the end of the can, you can shake the powdered krill on ice cream for a special favored treat. Drop a bag of these in the kid’s school lunch for a special snack and see how your kid becomes the star of the cafeteria. You dog and cat will love them too… Just a great all around food for the whole family.

    perfect for cichlids and eels

This food is adored by my cichlids. I primarily have it reserved for my young fire eel. He was very skiddish at first and I couldn’t get him to eat very much but he goes crazy over these so much so to the point where he will eat them out of my hand! My favorite fish food to this day

    Cat likes it

1 year old cat likes it. Very little quantity of shrimp though for the money. The pieces are slightly big for the cat to be eaten as dry treat – so I either break the pieces to half when eaten dry or I put the pieces into a liquid treat so the pieces moisten up for the cat to be able to take into his mouth using his tongue.

    Koi love shrimp

My Koi absolutely go crazy for the shrimp. They will literally race each other to be the first ones to get to the shrimp when it hits the water. Just keep in mind, high protein food is for 55 degree or higher water temperatures when it comes to Koi. High protein is not good for them during the winter months, it is bad for their digestive system. My Barbs and Rainbow shark in my tropical aquarium inside also really enjoy them as well. I crush up the shrimp in my fingertips to make it easier for them to swallow, but they love it just the same.

    Fishes’ favorite

My barb tank can’t get enough of these. They love to grab it and run around with it and chase each other and try to snag it. I thought this wasn’t the best deal, because I thought I’d need to feed more than 1 or 2, but 1 or 2 will do it unless you have a big tank w/ big fish, then maybe more.

    I have this on subscription.

My turtles AND my koi love this stuff. I only meant for this to be for the turtles, but I just can’t stop my fat greedy koi from stealing it. We have a 700 gal. pond with a rock in the center for the turtles & bullfrogs to bask on. I mix the krill with pond water in a cup to moisten them, then lay them on the rock and the turtles gobble them up. But I’ve actually seen some of my larger koi try to wiggle up onto the low edges of the rock, trying to get to the krill. (And trust me, my animals get more than enough food). Just hilarious.

    Well its shrimp!

Amazon asked me how I liked the flavor and I am not quite sure really. Didn’t think about trying it myself but my Oscars’ sure like them so I gave it 5 stars. I will be buying more when I run out.

    Great all around protein

This is the one food that my piranhas will eat and they love it. The krill gives them a nice pink and red color and keeps them lean and muscular. I feed them every other day and they nearly jump out of the tank to eat this!Switched them from live food to this as the black worms seemed to be invasive and took up residence in the substrate, and guppies introduced ick. This is a great feeding option for high protein foods.

    Great Quality Krill

My fish love this krill. Nice size pieces. There are large and smaller pieces. My Cichlids love this for a treat or a meal. My dinofish comes to the top of the fishtank as soon as he smells it. We have baby Cichlids so I break up one or two pieces for them. It all gets eaten. Pleco and catfish love it as well. Good quality and it brings out their colors nicely.

Awesome product. Once it rehydrates in the tank each krill becomes plump and almost like fresh food. I use it once or twice a week in my aquariums. I take the dried krill and crush it up into pieces by hand then drop it in the water. Guppies, platties, cory cats, neon tetras, siamese algea eaters and ghost shrimp all love it. Only cons are my angelfish doesn’t care for the texture of some peices, and this stuff smells very strong like seafood.

    Most fish love it

In 50 years of fishkeeping I have yet to see fish that don’t try to eat this food. I say try because it’s really not intended for very small fish though if you crumble it they will. Cichlids and other aggressive and large fish will devour krill and it does wonders for coloration. Recommended.

    Great snack

This is large dried shrimp and didnt know how big it was until I got it, now that my fish cant eat it, I snack on it when I’m watching utube videos or movies. It has a really strong shrimp flavor and I love it! Will buy more when I finish the remaining 2 cans of these jumbo shrimp.

4 ounce first and my fish loved it so much that i bought the 14 ounce …

I bought the 1.4 ounce first and my fish loved it so much that i bought the 14 ounce pack. My arowana goes nuts for these and it even gets my lazy bichir off the floor and at the water level to eat these. Only problem i have with these is the amount of shredded up stuff at the bottom. I get through about 70% of the bin and then its mostly just the bits. My arowana cant eat those however since my reef fish will eat it, I will let it pass.

Horrible how you guys keep upping the price up

I originally purchase this item because it was a good item at value price all the sudden that you guys got greedy and started upping the price by triple this is so sad because it is something my turtles actually liked and they are picky and I I’m pretty upset of how you guys are robbing people for the price I will not be purchasing this item until it goes back down and I recommend everybody do the same this is a horrible rip off

    Overall

Product itself is great. Buying this in bulk saved me a ton of money. If I bought this fish food at Petco they only offer one size for $8.00. Figuring out the weight and cost would have been $128.00, I paid $38.00 with free shipping. However the first one sent to me came damaged and in a box so huge and filled with bubble wrap it was ridiculous. In such “green” times couldn’t believe they would have shipped a cardboard container with fish food like that. Trying to return the product on line was a huge hassle and web site kept redirecting me that I couldn’t. I ended up having to call Amazon directly to exchange / return product. Problem was solved but from first ordering to finish took about 2 weeks. Also did order one other product through them and that also arrived damaged. Returned that also. Not a good experience for a first time shopper on Amazon. The savings was great, just not the experience.

    Used for 35+ years now

The media could not be loaded.

Great price… same awesome enriched krill for 28+yrs now. Won’t use any other brand… fish won’t eat other brands like they do this one. Won’t make an attempt after eating this kind. Soooo much better… its literally 10,000 to 1 better than ANY other. Buying more now and figured I’d review it while feeding this Tetra krill to a 22″ Hydrolycus armatus “Payara” and a Auchenoglanis occidentalis Giraffe Nose Catfish from Central Africa that doesn’t know when to stop bugging the Payara… until it is all bitten up… AGAIN

I use this to feed my Oscar and Red Pike. Both are hand trained and these work perfectly to continue that behavior. They readily take the Jumbo Krill and it doesn’t leave behind much waste for your filter to deal with later.

    Goldfish loved them

Good size and the goldfish loved them.Bottom third of can had a lot of small crumbled up pieces. Fish won’t eat that and it will only foul your water. That part was not a good value. I’m new to using krill. Will try again and see if quality is any better. It’s a freeze dried product so some settling is to be expected during shipment. However, this seemed like too much.I don’t know if people are eating these… but as far as flavor goes I’m guessing good because they smell fresh and fish went after them.

Pay attention to the prices raising on subscription orders

Overpriced but Great product, I get this every 2 months “subscribe & save” what a joke I just realized the price is $36 and I originally signed up at $24 🤔 so I go look at the 15 or 20 subscribe & save items I have monthly & several have went up 20% or more, I really enjoyed the simplicity of having household items delivered to my door. I feel completely robbed and I’m sure many people are being price gouged without even knowing it

    Not just for turtles!

I bought this as an additive to mix with my cats’ wet food. They are finicky little critters, so anything I can find to make them eat what’s in front of them is a plus. Yes, it’s stinky – hey, it’s krill. Krill is shrimp and that spells stinky when dried and by the way, cats LOVE stinky, fishy smells. The bottom line is if you happen to have finicky felines, this is a great additive. What I do is take a tablespoon and put it in a paper towel, fold it over and over until I’ve got a little bundle, then I pinch it all over so the shrimps break up into a powder. I put enough fish flavored wet food in a bowl to feed all of them, add the powdered krill to that mix, divvy it up into smaller bowls amongst the hoard and watch them lap it up. Yep, does the trick. I purchased the smaller can because I wanted to try it out first, but when the time comes, I’ll be graduating to the large one.

    The Koi Love these

I have tried another brand of Krill, ones you had to soak in water before feeding and my fish did not like these at all. The Tetra jumbo krill is super easy to feed, just throw into the pond and the fish will gobble them up. The large container will last a long time. I recommend this product.

    Massive can! Fish love it!

I had tried some Sanfransico brand freeze dried previously as an experiment and tasty treat for my fish. It was expensive for the small container I purchased(1/2 the price of this container but not even a quarter of the content), but the feeding response was insane. So I said to myself it was worth it for the cost. Then, I stumbled across this product. I read the reviews and said to myself, even if it’s only 1/4 full, it’s worth it, if the can was half as large as people were saying.. I have two tangs that are 9″each ,along with a Tusk(5″), mono (4″), pink tail trigger and other reef fish, so they indeed enjoy eating..Then, I recieved the can and wow! It’s huge! It is about the size of a large coffee can. Mine was full to the brim with bright red krill. The first thing I noticed was that they were indeed dried, but they were much softer than the previous brand I used. I wondered to myself if the fish would accept it. But the positive thing is, they accepted as insanely as before, and also because of its texture, they more easily accepted and ate the krill(in much larger bites).I didn’t have a problem opening the can either.. So maybe they changed the can..Overall I am extremely satisfied..
